  • Bathing Eagle (Mad Bird)

    We visited the World Bird Sanctuary near Valley Park, MO this weekend.  While there were many opportunities to photograph the birds there, this series of an eagle bathing in one of their enclosures is a favorite.  When I looked at the first photo I immediately named it “Mad Bird” because of the expression and the positioning of the wings.

    What would normally be spring rains have come late this year with lots of rain and storms along the Upper Mississippi River.  Flooding that would be more common in April and May is occurring now or expected in the next week or so, mostly above the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers.   • Great Blue Heron

    The robin, the blooming trees, the raindrops on fallen petals and the green grass all say that Spring is in the Air.  But the weatherman seems to disagree – 37 degrees at 8:00 PM and snow on April 14 in St. Louis.  Are you kidding me??????????
