    Lots of bald eagles along the rivers between Alton and Pere Marquette this morning.  This series shows one eagle having breakfast in a tree near the river.  In the first photo, look near the eagle’s talons and you can see the tail of a fish that had been recently caught.  The next three images show the eagle enjoying the fish for breakfast.

    Depending on where you were, the weather was better for photography today.  When I left home it was only cloudy.  When I took the photos of the swans and geese below there was a really light snow.  The eagle was taken in snow a bit heavier.  When I came back by the Riverlands it was snowing so hard that none of the swan and geese photos would have been possible.  And when I got back home the sun was trying […]

    Today was a rainy, gray day in the St. Louis area.  Just a short distance away the rain was either sleet or freezing rain but here things were just wet.  Even with the rain I went out to see if I could find an image or two worth sharing.
