    Yesterday and today Art Hill in Forest Park was covered not by snow and sleds, but instead by 1000 large origami cranes.  The cranes are a tribute to fallen first responders, both police and firefighters.  But they’re also a symbol of hope, that first responders will stay safe in the coming year.  The St. Louis Crane Project is based on a Japanese legend that if you fold a thousand cranes you get a wish, in this case “the safety of first responders”.

    More images from the American Legion car show at Purina Farms today.     American Legion hosted car show at Purina Farms, Gray Summit, MO, today.  More images to follow later. I kept looking for Burt Reynolds and Sally Field but I couldn’t find them anywhere. This GTO and others like it brought back memories of Jan & Dean, the Beach Boys, and other artists of the area (as well as drag racing on two lane highways and weekend cruising). This old Packard looks ready for anything. Ready for racing!
