    Tomorrow is the big day for the little costumed ghosts and goblins.  Looks like the weather in St. Louis may be a bit questionable but hopefully it will be dry for them.  Today’s image is a hot air balloon named “Owl and Pussycat” (remember the movie?) which on this side looks like an owl but from the opposite side looks like a cat (unfortunately I couldn’t find a photo of the cat side).

    A prime location for much of my photography is the Missouri Botanical Garden.  With the constantly changing flora in the Garden, along with seasonal decorations, opportunities for new and unique images exist almost throughout the year.  Those who have followed my earlier posts may recognize that one of my favorite subjects is the Taikobashi, or Drum Bridge, connecting the mainland with Nakajima, the Teahouse Island, in the Japanese Garden.     Only two more days until Howloween.  After we’re visited by the little costumed trick-or-treaters we move on to the month of November.  Eleven days later we honor those who have served on Veteran’s Day 2013 and then just over two weeks later we celebrate Thanksgiving.  I almost hate to call the decorations here scarecrows but that is the closest that I can come to a description.  They currently hold court near the Kemper Family Garden area at the Missouri Botanical […]
