Connie and I were recently in Yankton, SD and saw this bridge over the Missouri River. It is now a pedestrian bridge but has an interesting history, first built to serve a railroad and autos then converted to autos only and finally for pedestrians.
I have the originals of these photos but thought I would try a slightly different treatment for these photos to emphasize the details of the bridge.
The image below is in a small park on the South Dakota end of the bridge. By crossing the river, on foot here or by car on the new bridge just upstream, you enter Nebraska.
