As the Halloween season approached, the perfect place to visit was Salem – home of the witch trials. After leaving Connecticut it was a short drive to our next stop in Massachusetts. We camped at a military recreation area, Fourth Cliff, about halfway between Boston and Cape Cod. Interior Lighthouse Photos
These, with a couple of exceptions, are some images of the interior of the Big Bay Point Lighthouse where Connie and I spent three nights during our last vacation. A beautiful location overlooking Lake Superior about 25 miles west of Marquette, Michigan. The lighthouse sits near a 60 foot bluff along the lake and the light itself is about 120 feet above the lake’s surface. The lighthouse is now a bed and breakfast with seven guest rooms. Big Bay Point Lighthouse
While on vacation week before last Connie and I stayed at Big Bay Point Lighthouse. The light is still actively maintained by the Coast Guard on Lake Superior just west of Marquette, Michigan but the lighthouse has been converted to a bed and breakfast.
